Studio Lighting.

When you're setting up a light studio, you need to take into account a few things. First of all you need to think about the positioning of the model in the shot, and on the background.  Once they have been appropriately placed on the background you can place the fill light. This should be about 45 degree's from the model. Commonly there is a soft box on this light because it gives a soft light onto the face without making the face too light for the camera to capture it properly.

Secondly we need a key light which is your main light, this is like the sun of the photo studio, and will illuminate the whole set. This doesn't necessarily be facing at the model.
